Job Description

Account Manager - Business Start Up required for our professional services client based in Wolverhampton.

We have a fantastic new opportunity for an energetic; customer focused and determined individual to join our account management team. With our members at the heart of all we do, there is a tremendous opportunity to help deliver an innovative and modern business support approach to support the achievement of our company’s ambitious vision and business objectives and continue to grow our membership base.

With relevant experience in a similar role, you will have a proven track record in delivering excellent business support in either the commercial or public sector. Being customer focused you will be a self-starter with excellent networking skills and an entrepreneurial flair.

Key duties will include:
• Promote membership to business start-ups.
• To maintain contact with business start-up members to ensure they are utilising benefits.
• Ensure suite of benefits, networking opportunities and training workshops are relevant to the market to ensure engagement.
• Work closely with the marketing team to ensure knowledge of events and activities pertinent to membership, ensure account managers briefed accordingly.
• Attend company events and other networking groups, where applicable, in order to recruit new members.
• Build relationships with external organisations i.e. banks, accountants to attract sponsorship for events that will prove mutually beneficial for all stakeholders.
• Ensure all contact information and activities are recorded on CRM.
• Work with digital marketing plan to ensure social media campaign is robust and fit for purpose for the business start-up market.
• Understand local funding opportunities and business support available.
• Ensure new members have received their joining information.
• Work with website author to ensure member details are correct.
• To undertake any other general duties within the capability of the post holder, which may be determined from time to time by their line manager.

Experience required
• Previous sales experience in a business to business role.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Evidence of carrying out lead generation activities
• Knowledge of business start-up initiatives available
• Working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• Acute attention to detail.
• Reliable.
• Full UK driving Licence with access to suitable car/vehicle

Salary & benefits Package:
• £21k -27k per annum dependent on experience
• 25 days per year plus public holidays
• Company Pension scheme 6% contribution based
• Death in Service Insurance – 3 x gross salary

Working Hours:
Our standard hours of work are 35 per week. This role requires some flexibility in response to business requirements including the need to attend some meetings outside normal office hours.
