Job Description

UK Finance Accountant required for our global manufacturing company based in Wolverhampton. This is truly a great opportunity to join a well established and growing global brand, with great opportunity for further career progression.

We require a qualified accountant who will have responsibilities for the two UK legal entities/sites in Wolverhampton and Manchester. Success can be measured by continuous improvement as it relates to concepts such as ‘no-surprises fast-close’, by delivering fast and reliable/accurate financial information, and establishing a consistent ‘reporting cadence’ for the UK sites.

Duties will include:
• Perform month end close process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly results.
• Ensure payrolls are accounted and recorded appropriately
• Support Financial “ownership” of UK entities, including oversight & approve applicable account reconciliations and monthly trend analysis.
• Support preparation of bridge from US GAAP reporting to stat reporting .
• Support US GAAP and stat audits for both UK sites, ensuring no material adjustments. Support Director of Tax with local UK tax filings as needed.
• VAT Reporting Compliances for UK and Belgium registrations
• Ensure compliance with all policies as it relates to accounting, payables and procurement, as well as company travel and purchasing card usage.
• Assist with development of policies as needed, to support new processes as technology or other aspects change the landscape.
• Ensure compliance with external regulations for financial reporting.
• Provide financial support to FP&A for annual budget process.
• Coordinate with Treasury on cash forecasting and cash movements as needed to fund 3rd party transactions.
• Support M&A activities as needed.
• Transitional support 2019 - support general business operation, including supporting inventory accounting, treasury and tax functions for the Wolverhampton & Manchester site during the transition to the company organization structure, expected to take 9-12 months
Experience & Skills Required:
• Qualified Accountant with minimum 3+ years of professional and progressively larger responsibility in a multinational corporation
• Knowledge of financial reporting and financial analyses
• Knowledge of UK Gaap. Additional Experience of US GAP advantageous
• Experience with integrated, computerized accounting systems. SAP experience advantageous
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and attention to detail
• Proficient knowledge of local UK GAAP reporting requirements

• Strong analytical and presentation skills
• Able to travel between Manchester and Wolverhampton sites on a regular basis

Working Hours: 36.75 Hours – Monday to Friday

Starting Salary: £45k per annum + Company Pension, Life Assurance, 35.5 Holiday Days per year.
