Job Description

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and forward thinking Bookkeeper / Office Manager to join our clients growing business based in Dudley.

We are looking for theBookkeeper / Office Manager to have extensive accountancy and office management experience with drive and ambition to manage the finance & commercial functions within our clients organisation.

Finance duties:
• Manage Bank Accounts: Weekly Cash flow & Reporting to Directors, Monitor Balances Daily & keep within Limits, Reconciliations, PayPal, Amazon, Manage all Receipts & Payments, Inter A/C Transfers, Currency Transfers, and Credit/Debit Card Maintenance.
• Manage Purchase Ledger: Oversee Data Input, Process Debit Notes/Rejects, Credit Card Statements, Overseas Sales Rep’s Consultancy & Expenses, Respond to Suppliers Chasing, Generate Payments, Credit Applications, and Account Maintenance.
• Manage Sales Ledger: Credit Control, Insurance Checks & Reporting, Stop Controls, Account Maintenance.
• Financial Reporting: VAT Returns, EC Sales, Intrastat, Weee Declarations, National Statistics.
• Accounting Procedures: Close System Month Ends on both Sales & Purchase Ledgers – report accordingly. Produce Monthly Accruals/Reserves for Month End Accounts. Assist External Auditors & provide all required information. Assist Finance Manager with producing monthly Accounts for Directors.

Commercial Duties:
* Excellent telephone manner - you will be dealing with both suppliers and customers on a day to day basis, which includes a diverse customer base.
* All round office administration skills - you will be the main point of contact in the office and will have the opportunity to enhance and develop current systems
* IT literate, the company currently use SAGE and are also looking at a new QR Coding system
* Good organisation skills
* You will need the ability to work well on your own initiative as well as being able to effectively communicate as part of a team

Person specification:
• Fully conversant with Sage Accounting system
• Fully AAT level 4 qualified with previous financial control and management reporting experience
• The candidate should be confident, a self-starter with ability to operate in a challenging environment
• You must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail and should have hands on approach
• Must be computer literate with excellent excel skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
• The ability to work with personnel from all levels
• The ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 DOE

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.
